Crossbow Hunting Legal in Africa?

Just a curiosity question. I see folks bow hunting in Africa but can you crossbow hunt as well? Neighbor of ours bow and crossbow hunts and has been offering to show me the ropes for white tail...got me to wondering about Africa for the crossbow. Thanks!
 
Depends on the country/province, but generally yes with the proper permits. (Some jurisdictions do not require permits.)
 
I'm sure your outfitter can obtain a permit, but I'm not familiar with the regulations other than below I found on the net.

Agree on what Jaws said, Your outfitter will advise you but I am sure there won't be a problem
 
Crossbows are legal in some areas depending on the specie. I have guided many crossbow hunts.

Start in Billings, Then visit little big horn battlefield,
MT grizzly encounter,
a hot springs (do you have good spots ?)
Looking to buy a 375 H&H or .416 Rem Mag if anyone has anything they want to let go of
