Howdy y'all

The trophies from my 2nd Safari (May of 2016) with Jacques from @AAA Africa Serapa Safaris & Ruan from @Hartzview Hunting Safaris are on their home. I hunted pretty much all over KZN.... took Reedbuck, Bushbuck, Bushpig, Nyala & Eland. Remarkable & exhausting trip.... we covered about 1500 road miles. Highveldt did the Taxidermy, Oxi Logistics handled the shipping. I will be clearing my own customs again at DFW. Just completed my edecs with USFW.

Stay tuned!

I hope they arrive in good shape and turn out just as expected.

Exciting times when the crate is on the way

Now I get to go stare at walls...... deciding where they will go.

Create has arrived at DFW. Everything going according to plan. I will go pick up tomorrow. To clear your own..... There is some leg work.
1) Go to Delta to pick up original paperwork
2) Go to Customs
3) Go to USFW for approval
4) Back to Delta to pick up Crate.

It takes about 3 hours round trip from the house.

Nice, I know your looking forward to opening the crate! And we are looking forward to the pics as well!! :A Popcorn:

Picked up from DFW this afternoon. No bogeys. Other than just the typical traffic to get into the bowels of DFW, then the cat/mouse game with DHS/Customs. The Cargo facilities are not as easy to get to as Terminals. Nevertheless, I'll crack open the crate in a couple of hours.

Sounds good, excitement building I'm sure!!!!

I swore I would not consider booking another hunt to Africa until I have received my trophies & had all the taxidermy/shipping, etc. paid for. Now that it's here..... I'm a little nervous!:whistle::)

Ok boys.... made it home. Unboxed. Here are pics. Here are some details....

Highveldt Taxidermie- $2500
Oxi-Logistics- $1000
Delta Terminal- $50
Custom Clearing- 2.5 hours & $5 in tolls (myself)

I give all these outfits a thumbs up. Customer Service was excellent. Ton of great dialogue & communication, all of which they initiated. The crating was safe & very secure.

Value..... hard to say. Everyone has their own definition. I am satisfied & pleased.

Thanks for watching!

What's next?!?!?

Glad you had a good experience with Highveld, because I sure as hell didn't. My stuff looked like if I rookie had done the work, the stitching on my impala looked terrible.

I'm sorry to hear that! My first experience with Africa Taxidermie was pretty much a C- as well... some good, some bad. I've had both Stateside as well. I had heard good things from PH. So I decided to give it one last shot. I have not examined closely. However, at first blush it is satisfactory.

Looking good brother! Some nice trophies there!
