Returned from a Ten day safari in South Africa using my Courtney selous boots. Before the hunt I wore them at work for 2 weeks to break them in, I work as a high voltage linemen and we are hard on boots so two weeks was plenty of a break in period. Absolutely loved the boots but halfway through my hunt the right boot insole started to slide up to the point it was only halfway on my foot. About 10 times a day I would have to take my shoe off and reposition the insole. Upon returning from my hunt I threw the insoles away. Has anyone had the same issue or can recommend different insole for the boots?

I use powerstep insoles in all of my boots to include my Courtneys. Depending on amount of use, even the best insoles last 6 months to a year max.

Agreed. A good gel insole with some heel location makes a huge difference with Courteneys.

Started out using the Courtney insoles with my Selous. Was too warm for me, as I use them to hunt dove here in S. Texas as well. Ditched the insoles several years ago and went with the hard leather bottom. Took a while to get used to it but really comfortable now. Cool and lots of room.

Not waterproof, however.

I do the same with my Safari’s.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
