Cooper 57M LVT .22LR for sale with Leupold VX-3 4.5-14x40 scope. Rifle is in solid shape with some small spots on the barrel coating and a few dings and grain rise on the stock. I'd call it NRA Very Good+ to Excellent. Scope is Excellent+. Includes one magazine. Standing by for questions. Interested primarily in selling, but will entertain interesting trades if you have one in mind. Rifle will ship to your FFL in a hard case. $2000 including shipping.

I have a 57M with Jackson Squirrel stock, these are beautiful, accurate rifles.

Very nice 57m, I have one in 17hmr, love it.

Thanks for the kind words and testimonials all. It's a gorgeous shooter.

A message asking about this rifle reminded me that I probably should have included what trades are interesting to me.

-Lever action rifles in big bore pistol calibers
-Solid hunting revolvers
-Youth deer rifles
-Varmint rifles (.204 Rugers primarily)

Beautiful rifle; may I suggest posting a pic or two of groups shot with the rifle along with the ammo and distance noted on target.

It usually helps cut down on questions and speeds up the serious buyer and I’m sure that rifle is capable of ragged hole accuracy.

Great point, and I apologize for not thinking of that earlier.

I shot these today. Back-to-back, working about 85% of max effort...ie...good breath control from a bag with no real effort to work heartbeats etc...They are, IMO, representative of the rifle's capabilities without ammo tweaking and real hard shooting efforts. All groups are 5 shots, 50yards.

Clockwise from top left:
CCI standard velocity target: 0.446"
Federal HV Match Solid: 0.390"
CCI Pistol Match: 0.281"
Norma Tac 22: 0.390"

My best luck ammo-wise has been Eley of all varieties, and both CCI and Federal Match. The Federal results today were slightly worse than I have observed, the CCI slightly better. Unfortunately, no Eley on my shelves at the moment.

Hope this helps

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.

Have twice tried to post something that your site canned as "SPAM" or some problem.. "Contact the Administrator"... Not sure why even the "Contact" button would not send my comment so you only received my query but not the content in question. I'll see if I can get it to you this way... NOPE I use a VPN and perhaps that is causing me grief...
