I have a break at home with some good internet connection... so I can share some pictures from the jungle..
I had a great time hunting the rain forest, I have been lucky to see many gorillas and despite very little rain we have been able to have some good bongo hunting.
I let the pictures telling the stories...
Enjoy

Best
Christophe

Bongo has been on my wish list for a long time. Not sure that I will ever be able to do it. That Sitatunga is a real stud and is another animal on my list. You always have some great pics. Congrats for your hunting success. Bruce

Hello Henry,

Thank you for your kind words, always appreciated.
The sitatunga is very nice, the trophy looks very big on the picture !!! in fact he is good, 23 ''. The horn shape is fantastic, makes this animal something rare. It is anyway one of the most difficult to get in Africa. For the story, we shot it at 4 yards....
By the way did you see the Benin video?

Christophe, any forest sitatunga is a great one, and when you combine it with a great photographer, well, the results speak for themselves. I am jealous - 4 yards! As difficult as I found the jungle, it is a wonderful place to hunt.

It is good to see that you are posing with the animals while it looks like Jean-Luc is doing the work! Each person must play to their strengths!

Which Benin video are you referring to?

Here in the jungle it is almost impossible to get a bongo without dogs...
They don't really look ferocious, but watch them in the forest....

From left to right:
Jacky, toutpass 2, blaky, toutpass 1 (sitting), bouky and boby with the tracker...

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
