I’m thoroughly enjoying reading volume 1 of the dagga boy book! I hope to take a buffalo in March which will be suitable to make volume 3 too! Out of interest when will volume 2 be on sale?

That's great to hear - best of luck and hope you get a battered scrum cap!

I will check on the release date for Volume II of the Dagga Boy Award book and let you know.

Hi all,

I’ve bitten the bullet and have booked my first cape Buffalo hunt for March next year with Game 4 Africa!

Having never hunted in Africa before I’d love some book recommendations to read between now and then!

I’ve recently read Death in the long grass and the Rigby Dagga boy book, and I now have my eyes on Horn of the Hunter - by Ruark and Tall Tales, The Life of a Professional Hunter in the Zambezi Valley- Charlton for my next purchases!

If anybody can recommend any books covering Cape Buffalo or just general must read African hunting books it would be greatly appreciated! I do enjoy reading autobiographies too which is what appeals about Tall Tales!

I look forward to seeing your recommendations!

Thanks!
Tom
First G4A is a fantastic family!!! Having walked where you will be hunting you will have an awesome experience!!! Craig Boddingtons Buffalo one is very good. I also bought his second one but just stick with his first

The marketing team responded that the manner and timing of the publication is still in development so, unfortunately, there’s currently not an expected release date. Once I hear more, I will happily update you.

Volume 1 is fantastic reading, beautiful photos, and truly inspiring stories - thoroughly enjoyable.

To make your book is a real accomplishment.

Thank you for promoting conservation and hunting the old mature animals. Well done! Looking forward to reading volume 2.

Thank you for the kind words! These initiatives wouldn’t gain any traction without supporters like you!

I’ve hunted successfully with g4a and you are heading for a good time. I will reiterate as others to read Boddington’s Buffalo books (1 is enough) and the perfect shot 1. That is more than you need to know by quite a bit. Enjoy the other adventure stories if you enjoy reading.
I had my hunt filmed and it should be available later this fall, will be a good educational per What to expect on that particular property.
Practice off Rudolph sticks or 4 stable sticks and you will be good to go
Would love to see the film of your experience of hunting with G4A if it’s ready! I’m very much looking forward to my buff hunt with them in March!

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
