I posted this a couple weeks ago, but pulled it waiting on a clarification on the archery permits for Zimbabwe.

One of my outfitters in Zimbabwe is offering a great deal on a rare chance for spot and stalk archery cape buffalo in the Save. Last year they took 6 bulls all spot and stalk. The best time for the hunt is August and later.

The terrain and the vegetation make it a great area for a spot and stalk hunt, the outfitters so confident in his area and the hunt, he is offering a 50% refund on the price of the hunt if you do not have a shot at a mature bull.

The hunt is 10 days long and includes:
PH
Meals
Lodge
Day rates
Trophy fees
Taxes and Levies
Bow permit
Game ranger
Dip and pack

Not included is the transport to camp $1050 with return by car, air charter is per current rates and quoted on request.

10 Day hunt all in price is $17,500, if you don't get a shot at a mature bull you will receive a refund of $8,750.

Please email me with any questions.

Cape buff with a bow...YIKES! A rifle sounds scary enough to me!
Zimbabwe is on my bucket list though.
Some crazy bow hunter needs to take this and, assuming you survive ;), give us a report.

Just for curiosity. Can this be done with a crossbow? Bruce

Somebody do this!! I got my Cape buffalo with a bow and it was really, really cool. Nothing like being 15 yards from one of those guys, with 8 of his buddies all within 40 yards and holding back the arrow waiting for him to turn because he is directly facing you. I would do it again, but I am working on elephant, hopefully a leopard and then a hippo and lion next. All with a bow. There is no more exhilarating way to hunt unless you want to try it with a Bowie knife.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
