Could be wrong, I am not sure if Rowland Ward, separates out how taken. I think it’s just size, I know the largest Kudu was picked up off the ground.

Rowland Ward #1 are the third Column in inches. No method mentioned. Sorry.

Good luck if you are going after it.

RW just works on outside spread . That is the score . They also do not distinguise between Rifle / Bow / Muzzleloader or Handgun .

Cultural clash.
"Method of Take" not "Method of Scoring" :)

Yes, 42 is the minimum RW score, I think the RW website you might find the highest.

Right in the chart. 64 inches is the largest on record

Sorry, not at full speed today, been traveling. And no hunting involved. 13 hour time difference and only slept off and on, too much JW Green label on the plane.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.

Have twice tried to post something that your site canned as "SPAM" or some problem.. "Contact the Administrator"... Not sure why even the "Contact" button would not send my comment so you only received my query but not the content in question. I'll see if I can get it to you this way... NOPE I use a VPN and perhaps that is causing me grief...
