The WJVS team had great pleasure in welcoming 2 families of bow hunters from Mexico to our exclusive bow hunting camp, Linksfontein. Patricio Sada Muguerza, wife Karla, daughters Valeria, Karla and son Pato were accompanied by Jose Kaun Nader, wife Regina, son Jose Jnr and daughter Regina. Being experienced bow hunters and seasoned travelers to Africa, it was indeed an honor to welcome our clients on this their first safari with Wintershoek Johnny Vivier Safaris. The hunt spanned over a 10 day period...

It was a wonderful treat for Wintershoek Johnny Vivier Safaris to welcome back again this year, non-other than our great friend and agent from Russia Mike Shukis and his client Valeriy Yazev. Professional Hunter Yvan Nieuwoudt was up to the task of hunting with Valeriy and Mike and their designated hunting territory was the famous Wintershoek Private Game Reserve near Kimberley. With exceptional Buffalo hunting in the reserve being the WJVS trade mark, Valeriy was all fired up and ready for the challenge to bag a great Buff.

Our agent from Mexico Eduardo Gomez, booked a Buffalo plains game safari for his clients, Alfonso Villanueva, wife Stephanie and son Aaron to the Gamagara area of WJVS. PH Lash Le Roux Coetzee and his staff took charge of this hunt that was thoroughly enjoyed by the Villanueva family. As always, it is great to welcome Eduardo's clients in camp you were super folks; at this time, the whole Wintershoek Johnny Vivier Safaris team, wants to extend our gratitude to Eduardo for his loyal support and friendship.

Tomas De Castro, our agent and Pro Hunter from Spain, was delighted to hear that Roberto, Angel and Jose, also from Spain, were going to be in RSA on a business trip and wanted a few days hunting after all the work was done. It was great to once again welcome old friends and clients, Roberto and Angel to the WJVS umbrella and to meet 1st timer Jose. Tomas planned a few days of Warthog culling in the over populated Quaggasfontien area and holy smoke the hunters sure did have lots of fun!

From Fairbanks Alaska, John and Carol Holz and friends Steve and Kathy Smith, joined Ph's Lash Leroux Coetzee and Stephan Jooste for this their umpteenth safari at Gamagara and a visit to our Linksfontein area. It was great to welcome such wonderful folks, back again in camp; with tons of humor making the safari a really enjoyable all round and very successful hunt and experience. We most certainly look forward to sharing the camp fires with you all again in the near future, to celebrate Steve's 70th birthday!!

If you are looking for a challenging African Elephant hunt, then our hunters from Spain, Angel Delatorre, Jose Juan San, Onesimo Miguelanez and Jose Cano Coloma can attest to the fact that the area they were hunting in Botswana is truly, the REAL DEAL!! Earlier this year Wiaan and brothers Wynand and Marius went into the same area on an exploration hunt, to see for themselves what our hunters can expect. Reports coming directly from the sticks; yes! the Elephants are there, BUT, make sure you bring your most comfortable walking shoes that you own on this one

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
