I just talked to my taxidermist. The tannery they have been using for clients' buffalo and elephant skins to be tanned to leather went out of business during Covid. Their other contact does commercial wholesale and takes over a year.

They have been telling their importers to get the leather tanning overseas, but I was not communicated that.

So, anyone know of a tannery that will tan buffalo skins to leather. I'd hate to trash the skins after paying for it to be shipped here.

Thanks in advance.

TANKS, I DON'T KNOW WHO THEY USE FOR THEIR TANNERY BUT BOTH WOODBURY'S TAXIDERMY AND CONROE TAXIDERMY, BOTH IN TX., HAVE DONE ELE AND BUFF REAL NICE FOR ME.

On the buff, do you want hair on or off? Seems a lot of US tanneries wont handle hair off tanning these days, OR the fee to process is outrageous.

Yost Leather in Wisconsin. They specialize in finished hides for durable goods. Had a buff done there and it came out fantastic. Even Dick Murray was impressed by their quality.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
