Buffalo Hunting Safari in Namibia with Verney-Carron Double Rifles

Very cool video, and thanks Jerome for taking the time to answer questions and take my measurements at DSC 2019! It's not real clear, but I think I can make out two 7's on the case after ejection, is the double that took the buff a .577?

That correct yes, thats my 577. I was the lucky hunter!

That was one incredible first shot.
Well done and congratulations on a beauty of a buffalo.

Heck of a kick on that rifle I see.

That Imperial is a beautiful rifle

Very nice! But ouch! That .577 must hurt on both ends!

This video clip has it all.

Buffalo, V.C doubles, Jerome and Karl Stumpfe and the .577 N.E in what I assume is the Caprivi Strip, it doesn't get any better than that

This is complete, nothing more to add.

Great video, excellent thanks for posting.

My hat off to you for handling a .577 in that manner.

Way more gun that I am up to.
My own trial with a .577 was quite a "wake-up" call !, and I am far from recoil sensitive.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
