Thus , there is always going to be a risk of the operator’s knuckle striking the magazine floor plate release catch , due to recoil ... Which causes the floor plate to pop open . This can easily be remedied by having a competent gun smith put a pin through the magazine floor plate release catch .
The patented “ Integral Recoil Management System “ does not actually work . The rifle weighs less that 7 pounds and the recoil is much more violent ... Than a pre 64 Winchester Model 70 , chambered in the same calibre . You need to have a competent gun smith add much more weight to the stock . Have him install mercury recoil reducers to the stock .
Have the nylon fore sight changed to a steel 1 , with an ivory bead .

You are correct . The Birmingham Small Arms Majestic line of bolt rifles are of push feed platform . Only the earliest ( Made only from 1957 - 1958 ) Birmingham Small Arms Emperor line of bolt rifles ... Were of control round feed platform . By 1958 ... Birmingham Small Arms shifted all their rifle products to utilize a push feed platform , exclusively . This included the Majestic line of bolt rifles .
