I’ve met some great people here on AfricanHunting.com so thought I would post this here, rather than on auction sites.

I bought this beautiful Browning shotgun last year and have never used it. It's been sitting in the box in my gun room. It's brand new! No sense in holding on to it if I haven't used it since I bought it. Here are the specs:

Model: CYN CX, 12-3, 30 NP+
Gauge: 12Ga
Chamber: 3"
Barrels: 762mm (30")
Choke Type: MIDAS
Choke: Inv+ (F.M)

Crossover design with 60/40 POI is ideal for both field and target duties. Includes ventilated top and side ribs, Grade I walnut stock with satin finish, three Invector-Plus Midas Grade choke tubes included, satin blued barrels, ivory front and mid-bead sights.

Location: Pennsylvania
Price: $1,800 (Will split the shipping)

I tried to edit my original post, but didn't do it in time. This is what should have read at the beginning of my post:

First, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brent and I became a member here on AfricaHunting.com in June of this year, but have been a long time reader before that. I'm new to the classifieds so I don't have feedback. This is my first gun post here on AfricaHunting.com. I've been a member of a hunting website called **NOT**PERMITTED** for quite a few years and have sold and bought many items there, including a couple rifles and shotguns, and have all positive feedback. My user name is the same there as it is here. I just want to let you know a bit about me since I don't have feedback and I'm selling an item of fairly significant value. Please feel free to message me anytime with questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to provide my number if you would like to speak over the phone. Thank you!

How is it cast? Right or Neutral?

No worries about the scamming concern, we’ll have that sorted in short order…

Thanks for question, NIGHTHAWK! Truth be told, I honestly don’t know a whole heck of a lot about O/U shotguns, but I do know this shotgun is neutral. This was the first and only double barrel shotgun I ever bought. I just don’t possess real in-depth knowledge about this type of shotgun. I hope this helps.

Fair enough. I shoot Left Hand, so it matters to me…

Determining if a shotgun stock is "cast neutral" refers to its design for both right and left-handed shooters,
according to A Girl and A Gun.
Cast refers to the deviation of the butt of the stock from the center line of the gun when viewed from above:
  • Neutral Cast: A neutral cast shotgun has a straight stock, meaning the center line of the rib continues straight down the center of the butt stock.
  • Cast-Off: The center of the butt stock is slightly to the right of the center of the rib line. This is designed for right-handed shooters.
  • Cast-On: The center of the butt stock is slightly to the left of the center of the rib line. This is designed for left-handed shooters.
Why cast matters:
Cast helps a shooter to look straight down the rib of the shotgun, ensuring proper eye alignment and natural aiming.
How to determine if a shotgun has a neutral cast:
  1. Visual Inspection: Look down the length of the shotgun from above. Observe the alignment of the rib and the butt of the stock.
  2. Straight Line Test: A neutral cast shotgun will appear straight, with the rib and the butt stock aligned perfectly.
  3. Check Manufacturer Specifications: Some manufacturers, like CZ-USA, specify which of their shotguns have a neutral cast in their descriptions.

On old “Shotgun” forum post from 2010:

Browning does claim a neutral cast on all their guns. Here is the quote from the website:
Question:
Do Browning shotguns have cast-on or cast-off on their stocks?

Answer:
Upon leaving the factory, Browning stocks are straight with no cast-on or cast-off. However, due to the nature of the wood, they will at times slightly curve as they grow drier over time.
“Every Cynergy that I've personally looked at was cast neutral. It is possible, and in fact likely, that some have moved over time. That is the nature of wood. I have two stocks for my Cynergy and both are straight.”

Did you buy this shotgun new yourself or get it “New” from another original purchaser?
Thanks for the question, NIGHTHAWK! I purchased the gun brand new from Artistic Edges, here in York Pennsylvania.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
Two African Safaris Hunted South Africa both times,
