Good day AH Community,

We are in the privileged position where we are able to offer our clients 1 Brown Hyena hunt in South Africa again for 2023. We only conduct 1 per year so as to ensure we have the highest chance at success for a client that wants to attempt this difficult hunt. We were able to fill our one tag in 2021 however unfortunately the Hyena was not recovered. Our 2022 hunt went off with little difficulty and we had a very happy client bag a huge hyena! Brown Hyena hunting is something we are very passionate about and we believe we have some of the better areas for them. This is due to almost zero hunting pressure on them. We have never struggled to get them on bait when doing "Bluff" baits to determine effectiveness and numbers of Hyena. Half the fun is making sure the bait site is topped up, but we will of course do a good amount of baiting prior to your arrival. Most times we will strive to have a "Hyena Restaurant" running long before your arrival. This is essentially a dumping site for any unusable bits during the safari season. It is a hard hunt due to the long hours in the blind and their somewhat erratic schedules but success is afforded to those who persevere! The hunt will take place in the Limpopo province at our Limpopo North home base.

The hyena are running at essentially the same price as 2022.

We don't mess around with our bait sites!

It’s a shame these animals can’t be imported back to the states. They are very neat animals. I could have shot one in Namibia on a previous hunt but didn’t since I couldn’t bring it back home. I think the farmer/land owner wound up killing it anyway because of concerns over his live stock. No trophy fees paid and the animal gets killed anyway. Very frustrating. Anyway, rant over. Looks like a great opportunity for a cool animal.

AKA the African wolf!

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
