They are always in the wrong country for me anyway!
sorry to hijack this thread a little but it is my belief or understanding that most people believe the cz 602 bruno is "more desirable" than the current 550's. Is that just because they stopped making them or because of "documented" knowledge.
So the predecessor models of any maker are always better. That is often stated.
A Brno is a Brno and CZ is a name change due to political history change of factory and maybe newer equipment replicating classic models.
Some are purists, some are collectors.
I own a CZ, I saw the same one in a dealer add 2 weeks before it came up for sale privately 4000km away. I think it was
@PaulT a member here let me know his mate had it. I asked why are you selling it . He may be a PH I think but he says the stock is thinner at the forend and that is more comfortable with his all day use etc. I accepted that and my CZ works fine he never fired it.
Straight stocks are expected to recoil less or felt lower recoil than Hogs back stocks.
Let’s face it they are carried more than shot.
If something dangerous is bearing down on you recoil is not the problem.
I would have. Brno if the price was right, just because it’s a Brno, some history and a somewhat desirable rifle if what I read is correct.
This is a condensed version of many article I have read so I cannot say for certain I haven’t handled a Big bore Brno but had CZ I need .458 before the .375.
There are likely stock makers who offer a Brno pattern stock if that makes a difference .
