This rack is the smaller version of the 7-Gun Rack and is just as beautiful and functional. It stores up to 5 firearms in leather covered spaces and they are custom-made, one at a time, by skilled South African artisans. With African mahogany frames, thick saddle leather, solid brass fittings and a heavy-duty canvas carrying strap that attaches to heavy-duty brass eyelets, this piece folds flat for transportation and can be deployed in minutes. Order yours today!

Good hunting,
Jim & Elisabeth

My originaL Morris chair given to my grand parents as wedding gift in 1919, was the only piece of furniture to survive their 1928 house fire and was sat in every evening by my grandfather till his death in 1972. I remember as a boy shifting the brass rods adjuster as he leanded forward to turn the pages on his newspaper and watching in shock when we didn't get it back in the right place for when he sat back again and he leaned back further than he anticipated. My father held it for me while I was off shore for a number of years and it came into my posession in1987 and sits in pride of place at the fireside in my own kitchen. Had the seat resprung and recovered to refurbish it but other than that this old oak chair is as good as the day it left the makers bench and I expect these campain chairs from @African Sporting Creations to be as comfortable and as long lasting as mine has been and continues to be

Thank you for sharing that really cool story. Does it have a makers mark on it anywhere? The curved rear support means it is most likely not a Stickley but if you find one let me know what is says and will try to run down some history on it. Were the front and back legs cut down?

Jim

I dont see a makers mark and the legs have not been cut down. My grandfather was 6 ft 3 so would have no need for cutting it back and I have known the chair since the early 1950's so know it has not been done since then. The bottom side rails are very low with support for the seat being at the front and back of the chair.

Thank you for your reply.
