Does anyone here have any experience hunting elephant with Graeme Pollock Safaris in Botswana?

Areas 47 & 49 in Botswana.

Thank you
George

No but I am leaving to start a hunt with him in mid July. When are you looking at going?

I'm still trying to figure that out.
You must be Brian from California that booked yesterday on the 18 July date that I wanted to go. The early bird gets the worm.
It seems like a great opportunity!

AlabamaGeorge Just wondering where in Alabama do you live? I live in the Russelville area.

That's me. This will be my first Elephant hunt and my first trip to Botswana. I am doing this simply on the recommendation of Jack Atcheson,

Will you be going on other dates?

He's a well respected outfitter. You should have a great hunt.

Yes but we are having some difficulties communicating with Graeme in the bush to nail down arrival dates.

I'm in the Auburn/Opelika Area.
Thats not so far about 225 miles SE of me. Hope your hunting plans work out good for you so you can bring us a great report. Bob

I got booked the 2nd-3rd weeks in August. I got your contact info from Jack and will be looking forward to hearing about your safari.
As I stated before, the more I looked into this, the more I realize what a tremendous opportunity we have!

I hunted in Botswana with Graeme several years ago (Kalahari KD1/KD2) and found him to be a terrific guy and a top notch outfitter/guide. I am confident that Graeme will work hard to make sure you have an enjoyable and successful hunt.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
