Went to Georgia to visit an old army buddy I hadn’t seen in 5 years. Ended up bringing home a Marlin 336 in 35 remington wearing a Leoupold Vari X III 1.5x5 x 20 mm. Gun was built in 1976 and the scope in 1982. First 2 rounds down range at 50 yards were center bull and touching. The mounts are see through which my initial thought was to change out but after shooting I may keep them. Another 35 added to the stable.

I'm not an enabler you have just been bitten by the 35 cal bug.
The 35 REM will do at 100 yards what the 358 will do at 200 and the 35 Whelen at 300 and the 358 stw you get the picture. A nice rifle you will love.

Still trying to round up a nice old Remington Model 8 or 81 in .35 Rem. Got the dies, brass and some bullets, just havent found the right deal yet and when I do it usually just sold.
These old Rems really seem to go for big dough these days!

I have a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington as well. They make a nice "woods" range deer and or hog rifle. I have a Williams 94-36 receiver sight on mine. Hornady Leverevolution is the ammo to use.

Those are few and far between. Those that have them don’t seem eager to turn loose of them. Good luck in your quest.

Its funny, I already have one of the harder ones to find, the .25 Remington Model 8. The .35's are much more common but get snagged pretty quickly and prices have gone thru the roof on these old Rems.
These days there are more available in .300 Savage which to me is the least desirable round of them all.
I have an 81 .30 Rem, and the 8 in .25 Rem and when I finally get a .35 Rem I will probably quit there.
The .25 Rem is a great shooting little caliber and the rifle is just a hoot to shoot! All that metal clanging around back and forth makes it a unique shooting experience.

Kind of like shooting the old A-5 another John Browning invention. Both operate on the same principle.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.
