Boars hunting in Austria or surrounding countries?

Hello fellow hunting friends,

I am currently living in Vienna and I was looking for hunts in Austria or the surrounding countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, CZ...) for a wild boar hunt on big boars.
Does someone have recommendations of good PH in the area (around 4/5h max from Vienna).

I contacted some PHs online from some hunting platforms but they did not seem serious. Any good experiences?

It can be also be for any type of game (Chamois...).

For Croatia, drop me pm.

But keep in mind old big boar is smart.
It is not guranteed hunt.
Guranteed big boar hunt, is either in fence, or a boar raised in a cage in a household, released near feeder.

But, if hunting from a blind at night, given enough time, you will shoot something, of some size.

Driven hunts are another matter, in free range areas it is not guranteed you will pull the trigger. But in fenced areas chances are good.

I have not hunted in Slovakia. Only Hungary, Austria, Germany and Slovenia. K and K Premium Jagd, who I have used a couple of times has a huge program in Slovakia.

Hi, I'm from Slovakia. It's often the case that "local PHs" are not serious in Central Europe. If you're interested, I can give you the contact details of a friend of mine who I go hunting with. He owns a travel agency that specialises in organising hunting trips, and he has lots of contacts. I'm sure he'll be able to help. For example, I went with him to Zimbabwe – you can find the report on AH.
We are now planning our next hunt in Bulgaria.

Hello, I don’t think you will find big boars in countries you mentioned. Romania is recovering after African swine fever and here definitely you can find some big wild boars. The best time is December- March.
