Got this one on day 1 of a 10 day cape buffalo hunt with PH John Sharp. This was May, 2015 in the Bubye Valley Conservancy in Zimbabwe. I had heard how tough wildebeest are, but I hit it in the right spot with a 300 win mag from about 90-100 yards and it dropped in it's tracks. A good confidence booster for me starting out my hunt and I think the PH and trackers felt good about it too.

My wife isn't a hunter. And even though she has always told me she is OK with it, I've always had doubts. Well, when she hugged the beest and said a prayer over him and thanked him I knew that she understood, even if hunting is something she will never do herself.

The picture wasn't staged, and is one of my favorites from the safari.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
