Jerome, having started this, I think you now need to keep us informed about the outcome. Who gets the permits, and how much! A black rhino - hopefully a mean and cranky one - should provide an interesting hunt, to say the least!

Not sure that the information will be released but if it does or if I hear something I will post it here.

I originally say this as a trending topic on Facebook and you'll be heartened to know a lot of the posts and comments were actually in favor of this. Many stated they disliked 'trophy hunting' but understood the need for such a hunt and applauded the way Namibia is managing the species and were glad the money was going to support conservation. Considering a lot of facebook users are younger and liberal this is good news.

NickyMaz, that is the one thing that scares me to death, is me getting too old. I will say it again, the younger generation would have benefited greatly not growing up with the internet. "I swear most of them still think food comes from the grocery store."

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
