Quit dreaming about it and book a hunt with one of the great sponsors on this site! You can feel comfortable with these guys as you can read numerous reports about each of them here from members that have hunted with them. Good, bad or in between it's in the reports. Don't think you can afford it? Can't get away from work? Book for 18 or 19 and save a little here and there, drink Walker Red instead of Blue(blasphemy I know)! Food is overrated as hell, you can miss a couple meals each week, the kudu back strap on the braii is ample reward for a little suffering it takes to get there! Tell your boss you booked a Safari at least three days before you plan to leave, this will usually give you three full days off before your trip to make sure you packed everything. You can always grovel for your old position back after your trip, or just find a new one when you get back. It is much more relaxing to hunt without worrying about the real world.
One of my First Sargents gave me some great advice once, he said "Son, two rules you need to live by, 1. Don't worry about the small s**t and number 2, its all small s**t". So go hunt Africa is what he was really getting at! I'm glad I'm a good listener!
Cheers,
Cody
