Does anyone have an idea when these were manufactured? (I have a message out to Barnes but haven't heard back yet). I know they are long ago, discontinued. Barnes Manual #3 doesn't have them listed. They are a standard cup and core RN SP, 400gr, 0.423 diameter.

I'm doing a load work-up with RL15 as I found some reference load data in an old magazine article 76gr - 80gr max.

I'd think these would make a great Lion or Crocodile load.

Barnes made bullets with jackets of various thicknesses to suit the application. I expect that these are pretty stout bullets. You might section one to get an idea of what you have.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
