I've got a mauser m18 in 6.5 prc and it shoots great, it's a deer rifle right now but would like a scope that has good turrets for having some fun. Just have a older burris ff2 3-9x40 on it, great for hunting but about it. I'm thinking about 3-15/4-16 range scope, nothing to big and heavy. The new arken LH-4 caught my eye for the price, just over $200 with the discount, was wondering if anyone here has one yet and what they think of it.

I picked up the 6-24 version off a prize table last year. I mounted it on my 6 Dasher and have been pretty impressed with it. I think its the best value available for the money. Optics are good- absolutely excellent for the price point.

I shot my rifle on a few hot days through our summer and had very little issues with mirage. I usually find budget scopes suffer with heat on the higher magnification settings, but did not find this to be an issue with the Arken. The turrets are very crisp and holding zero has been fine. The turrets have large writing which is good as I struggle to read small text.

What reticle dose yours have, video I've seen the clicks don't sound very loud but probably fine. How is the eye relief. I think I would have ordered the 4-16 but that 6-8week wait sucks if it comes in that quick.

Pretty sure mine is the VPR (Christmas tree) reticle in MIL. The click adjustment is the best I have seen on a budget scope, I think the clicks are decently loud.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.
