Next March I'm headed to Argentina with TGB outfitters. Its been recommended that I just rent a gun and not try to bring one into the country. Just wondering if anyone has any experience taking a gun or not, if it's hard to do it, risk of losing it, etc.

Thanks!

High volume dove hunt, use their guns. Too easy to burn up a barrel.
Big game, can't help you.

I think there were some problems with gun import last year. Had to get paperwork from their embassy ... Folks were having problems. Then they had elections and a new pres. I think they got it changed back and guns are getting in OK. The company you are hunting with should be able to tell you the procedure. Bruce

Thanks for the heads up. Seems like rental it is! Too bad they made it a pain in the rear.

Best advice I heard if you need a custom fit.

Bring a custom stock and bolt it onto their autoloader. I know someone that hunts at places that offer beretta 391s but he needs a 15.75" LOP. He brings a stock and a socket wrench!

Saves much import aggravation.

bloody brilliant idea.

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
