I will be travelling to SA from the UK in July to hunt in the Limpopo Province .Can anyone tell me if I will be allowed to use a sound moderator on my rifle ? I have been told by a friend he has heard of people having their Sound Mods confiscated by customs in SA.

We have no license for them, they are sold in all gun shops. Everyone that I know of has at least one, three for me. If Customs is picking them up they have no clue, but then that would be no surprise.

Suppressors are everywhere in RSA.

Yes my PH had the 300 Win Mag that I used in 2010 fitted with one.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
