Like I said, I find surprising there ain't no video around this media platform showing the steps required to reload the most popular double rifle big game hunting cartridge in the world today.

By reading around the forum, it seems reloading is the only way to keep down the costs of practicing with these big bore guns.

So I wonder, anyone willing to make a tutorial the next time he jumps around his reloading station? It's not about sharing his load recipes -those can be easily sourced around the web and should be double checked before attempting to reload accordingly-

Anyway, it would be really helpful to see each step done, from case trimming to crimping the bullet on a loaded cartridge, for people like me whom are not expert reloaders.

See you around the camp.

Sad to say , but reloading so something YouTube have struck down videos of recently . And has been for some years , even black powder cartridges been taken down now .

I would suggest Rumble or Daily Motion instead of

CLEAN
FL SIZE-Hornady Dies-With button
Trim to trim length
Chamfer, deburr
Prime-Hand primer
Drop in powder charge
Use kynoch wads from Trader Keiths as filler
Seat bullet to cannelure
Light crimp

Wallah---go shoot

I can try to do a video next time I load some, but probably perform several steps some would consider unnecessary because Im OCD:

1. Inspect spent cases for damage;
2. Tumble cases overnight in corn cob media with integrated polish;
3. Lubricate outside of cases lightly by hand (but not the neck), and inside of throat with a retired barrel cleaning soft brush;
4. Resize and deprime cases;
5. Re-tumble cases in corn cob media for and hour or two (to remove resizing lubricant);
6. Clean out primer pocket with brush and make sure the primer hole is free from polishing media debris (a ball point pen works well if some media is stuck in the hole);
7. Inspect cases again (now that they are clean) and measure cases for proper length (3.23-3.25”);
8. Trim if needed, and chamfer and deburr if trimmed;
9. Reprime cases with a large rifle magnum primer (Remington 215) and hand feel for even seating of primer in primer pocket;
10. Measure powder (86g of RL 15.5) and drop into case;
11. Insert #2 Kynoch filler wad from Trader Keith with a tweezer;
12. Seat bullet (Barnes TSX 500g) down to canalure; and finally
13. Measure overall cartridge length (3.98”)
14. Though some may, I dont crimp the case.

It would be great, I mean... having the process written down is cool and everything, but actually seeing it done should make it easier for newbies to repeat, also while recording there might be some tips and tricks coming to mind and worth to share

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
