I usually use Talley rings and scopes with straight tubes on my large action 550's but I wanted to mount a spare scope with a larger objective on my .404 to do some load development. I needed to get this 1.7-10x42 a bit closer to my eye. These rings I found came from Australia but supposedly made in the Czech Republic. They are steel and appear to be of good quality. I do not know the manufacturer? I do not like the idea of a two piece design but I didn't want to go the route of a separate pica tinny base. I have only fired 12 rounds of 450 grain loads and so far so good. I would like know if there is a member that has any experience with a set up like this positive or negative. (My photo may not show it but there is plenty of clearance for the objective) Thanks!
