An incredible find of two warriors in the wild who fought till the last...
May both Warriors rest in Peace, they both had a Good Death by the ancient rules.
What a way to go!

Very true.... Not to be deep but it reaches a different level.

My best always

One hell of a story behind the remains. Wonder what it was, who it was, Probably lost in the fog of history

It makes your imagination wander. Isnt that a bear scull? Anybody see what rifle it is?

Years ago, I believe it was "Outdoor Life" ran a short article on a similar senario. Someone in Alaska had found the remains of a Brown bear and human near a tree that had a Colt single action .45 long colt lodged in a fork of the tree. The tree had grown around the pistol and it was then, about six feet off the ground. The only reason they found the remains was because they noticed the pistol in the tree from a distance. They figured both had been dead for 40+ years. What a story that must have been...

That is a very special find indeed, where was it do you know ?

guys,i need some help here from you experts
i'm trying to find the story behind the story of this photo

my deduction[pure speculation] or leads are currently as follows
-its a bear
-maybe an old single barreled shotgun [also see the blue rope/tape/?]
-the tall grass is throwing me off a bit [its not the americas-maybe india? if its not a bear then maybe africa?]
-i found this photo in the same [dissappeared] source of an old indian guy that survived a bear attack in india long ago
[though no mention was made to connect the two photos]

bear attack.jpg

to investigate you must sometimes grasp at straw until proven wrong or until it gives you a new lead
anybody that can 'read' the photo out of experience better? [grass, small tree in background, skull, rifle etc?]
any suggestions to give a clearer direction to the search?

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
