I am always on the hunt for that one!The #1 barrel stamped with .275 Rigby is truly a rifle to grab up when you see one!

I certainly like mine, perhaps the finest No 1I am always on the hunt for that one!
You will never regret buying the 300H&H, mine is the "jewel in the crown" of my No1 collection.i had about a dozen ruger #1,s over the years in all calibers, now i have only three. a 35 whelen, a .223 and just got a 300 H&H new in the box at public auction.
I picked up a "like new" CB 300 H&H No 1 and it looks pristine, but I cannot get it to group for crap. The fixed sights are off by over a foot at 50 yards. Haven't had time to do a deep dive into it to try and sort it out which is unfortunate because I love that caliber and I want to love that rifle. If I can't figure it out then I will have to get a gunsmith involved to make sure nothing is structurally wrong with it.You will never regret buying the 300H&H, mine is the "jewel in the crown" of my No1 collection.
The 24" and 26" are my favorite as well.I certainly like mine, perhaps the finest No 1
ever produced. I have a strong preference for the 24” barrel on a No 1. The 22” just looks too short to me.
I fitted a Hicks accuriser to mine from the get go, it shoots 180gr Woodleigh SP and 175gr Atomic29 solid copper bullets into .9 inch groups, even when I mix the rounds in the same group.I picked up a "like new" CB 300 H&H No 1 and it looks pristine, but I cannot get it to group for crap.
