Alaska Air strikes again

It is long past over do that all U.S. airlines become state controlled. I can’t believe I’m saying that but all of them have betrayed us, even after we bailed them out after that Covid nonsense. All the major foreign airlines are far superior to all U.S. airlines. Heck, even the commuter Airlink is superior. Write Trump, write your useless congressional representatives and demand the airlines become state controlled. We deserve the best, not 3rd string.
Only a diehard liberal or communist could think that could be helpful. We have way too much government failure and involvement in our transportation system now! Our FAA and air traffic control system is from the 50’s and in 70yrs the only real attempt to upgrade was done by the worst moron To do anything in our government (Pete Buttigieg) besides Biden
And after billions they spent to upgrade it we still us a 70yo system with 8x the traffics and with the same number of controllers we had in the late 60’s.
Obviously your worldly experience with international air travel is very limited. With only 2rare exceptions most “government run” airlines are horrible. I’ve been on every continent in the world that has scheduled airlines, many multiple times! And virtually all that have government ran airlines operate with less efficiency than our post office.
I do agree that Alaska Airlines has decreased in quality. Iris a real shame.

The players in the industry operate as monopolies, especially for those routes with only one viable carrier. Very little if any market pressure to change a poor product. Extremely high demand with few players and no consequences for poor service. There is such high demand that most would rather transport a full plane of unhappy customers than a partial load of happy customers. Even if most of those unhappy customers find another carrier next time, there are plenty of replacements willing to fill the same flight next time.

Sad to hear of Alaska Airlines demise. I haven't ridden them in quite awhile, they pulled out and another took over (one one-carrier town), but they were my favorite back in the day.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
