Dear AH Members,

After receiving a lot of positive response on my initial post about putting together an AH Group Hunt in the Limpopo Valley that focuses on Dangerous Game, I decided to go ahead and put the offer out there! AH Gold Supporter @Green Chile will be the Guest Host on the hunt and will be present in camp during the hunt. He has personally hunted the area with me a number of times chasing all kinds of game and critters including 4 of the Dangerous 7, numerous Plains Game and night critters.

The focus of this Group Hunt will be Dangerous Game and the hunt will be conducted in the Limpopo Valley of South Africa, the most northern part of the Limpopo Province. The hunting area is 20 000 Acres and is a prime Dangerous Game area with also a wide variety of Plains Game! If a member wants to focus only on Plains Game and/or night critters that would be great and he would still be more than welcome to join. There are over 35 species of Plains Game and numerous night critters available for your hunt!

The Lodge is situated on the hunting area and have 6 private chalets each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and Wi-Fi, thus I would like to put together a group of a minimum of 6 Hunters. Extra Hunters and/or Observers are welcome to join if you are willing to share a room.

This Group Hunt will be conducted during the 2026 Safari Season.
The dates set for this Group Hunt is 28 June - 07 July.

Best of luck with this Group Hunt.

Cost?
Thanks @BRICKBURN!

Cost from OR Tambo to camp and return depend on the South African Fuel Price but usually runs around $800 Return Included

Is this per person or would this be divided amongst everybody being transported? Thanks
@Fatback this would be divided amongst everybody being transported.
Sorry should have made that clear in the initial comment, thanks for asking!

One of the things we are looking at is having a van to take everyone from the overnight in Joburg up to the ranch. Dieter and I would be on the ride if we do that. It could be a great way to split the fuel cost and get there cheaper and with less hassle than Air Link, etc. It would also be fun getting to know one another on the ride up. We will let the group decide on that option but I wanted to let you know. The drive from Joburg is 6 hours...versus going back to airport, security check-in, etc then 1 hour flight to Polokwane...then 2 hour drive to ranch. Something to consider.

One of the things we can do is take my suppressed Gunwerks rifle in 6.5 PRC and shoot baboons from the back deck down into where they are making a mess of the salt blocks left out for the animals. It's about 320+ yards. We can add those to some of the gut pile from our week of hunting and feed the crocs. It's amazing to see and video hundreds of crocs coming in to feed.

I got a question about the quality of sable on the property. Here is one I took 2 seasons ago...there are great sable and roan on the property.
