I was so happy with the work done on my Heym that I sent the stock for my VC 450 NE to the same gentleman for the leather wrap. While at it I sent the barrels to JJ to put his low mount for a Trijicon as well. Here is the stock.

The one he put on my Marcel Thys 470 is milled in so it works like a QD weaver type mount without the cross bar. Mine rests up against the rear sight so it is solid against recoil. Thumb nut with a slot on one side. You finger tighten and then use the rim of a cartridge to tighten about a 1/4 turn more. Super slick setup On a rifle like a Chapuis with removable blocks for scope mounting, he replaces a screw with one that has a thicker head that protrudes enough to be a recoil block. @Just Gina is having this done to her new 450/400.Man that looks great!!!
Is JJ's mount milled into the rib or is it screwed in?
Thats a nice bit of timber there and the pad is cool too.
