My version of an ammo holder, so necessary when hunting with a Single shot rifle, in this case a Ruger No1 in 400H&H.
Africa bound in October. Now for a sheath for the new knife.

Nice! I picked up an almost identical ammo carrier from African Game Industries Inc. Mine is made of Cape buffalo hide. Very handy.

I guess if I can't put a buffalo down with nine 400 gr 404J cartridges I probably deserve to be stomped to death. Might be more preferable than trying to explain the screwups at camp that night.
