Hi there
I was wondering if anyone out there has used the 250 gr Accubond in a 9.3 x64 Breneke. How has it performed and what size game have you used it on. I would like to know how it would work on Elk, Sambar and Kudu size game.

I haven't used them in a X64 but have used them in both x62 and x74. I have used them on up to kudu, blue wildebeest, and waterbuck on the bigger side and as small as diker and klipspringer on the small end. In the x62 I had them loaded to 2610FPS and in the x74 2585fps. everything except the water buck (Bad first shot on my part) were one shot.

Thanks AZDAVE
I normally use a 250 gr mono bullet at around 2850 fps, but have found some animals move off some 50 or more yards. In thick cover here in the Aussie high country you can loose a Sambar. I was hoping a rapid expanding bullet might anchor a animal quicker than the mono bullet, though there penetrating is incredible.

I honestly feel the accubond is too soft for X64 speeds. I’ve shot elk and a mule deer and failed to get pass through on multiple shots at distances from 35 yds to 394yds when loaded in a X62 at 2605fps. This was the whole reason for the genesis of the 258gr hammer hunter bullet

Thanks 112Savage
It’s funny you should say that, years ago I had the same problem with RWS Tugs and H mantels. I use an Australian made mono bullet here called the Atomic 29. It weighs 250 gr and shoots really well. The Accubond shoots to the same point of impact and some people rave about them. I have had bad experiences with partitions loosing weight and not penetrating far. The last animal I shot with one of those was a Rusa stag at around 260 yds with a 160 gr partition in a 7 mm Rem mag . Chest shot and that bullet only hit a rib bone blowing up and not existing the 14 or so inches. I was just after people’s experiences with the Accubond on similar size animals.

If I wanted to hunt the word with a 9.3x64 I could use four bullets:
250TTSX
286 Partition
286 A-frame
286 woodleigh hydro

This is not to say that the hammer bullets don’t have a place but for general consumption these four cover it all. Hammers are great for rifles that are difficult to tune

I find Rel 15 works well with the 250 gr. What size game are you hunting and how do they perform
