Hello everyone,
I have a .510 Whisper I’m putting up for sale or trade today. For a trade, I’m wanting a 500 A-Square rifle. Price for sale, I’m asking $4000 shipped.
Rifle comes with bullets, 50 pieces of brass, reloading dies, and scope. Bullet selection includes 160 Lehigh Defense controlled fracturing 725 grain, 20 Barnes 750 grain solids, and 20 Maker bullets 1,000 grain copper controlled expansion.
PM me if you’re interested or know anyone who’d like to trade. I’m really really wanting a 500 A Square Hannibal rifle.

These don't come up often for sale. Is that 18" barrel and what is the weight? Who made it and do you have any target info?

it is a unique build. It has a 17 inch barrel and weighs 9.4 lbs unloaded. It was made by J.M.F Customs Inc. from Florida. Below is most recent target tests used. Whisper cartridges really shine at 100 yds and under. An excellent thumper and delivers serious energy to the target.

Nice...that should help sell it. Did you ever have a suppressor for it? I wanted a 510 Whisper for years but never got one.

168 grain Maker bullets out of my .308 was super deadly on a bunch of zebras I took a couple of years ago. I'd hit them on the front of the shoulder, they literally spun around and fell over dead, I love those bullets.

What cases are being converted for your version? There were a number of different approaches to that over the years.

I did have a suppressor for it. It was a blem can that had insides for a .458. It was re-machined for the .510. Was 11 inches long and was made by Thompson Machine. Really helped distribute the weight of the rifle well. Was real quiet too. I recently just sold it and transferred it over to someone who’s been after it for quite some time.

They are a great selection of bullets. The 1,000 grain subs I have used in the whisper hit like a freight train. Sounds like a baseball hitting a punching bag with the force of a freight train :D

I used brand new Lapua .338 Lapua brass. Lathe turned these down to fit the .510 bullets and then fit them with the dies. Wasn’t near as much of a task sizing for the .510 as it was to size my 7mm BR brass for my 375 whisper. I seen that SSK Firearms has .510 brass you can buy that’s ready to size to your rifle, but I’ve never been fortunate enough to catch them in stock. But realistically, the pieces of brass I have made will last me, and the next owner of the setup, will last well over 7 reloads. The brass holds up well.

I have an original Hannibal .500 A-Square I would consider selling in the price range you are asking for the .510. I just finished building a .510 so not interested in a trade. PM if further interested.

I can’t update the listing, or I would. I just bought a Hannibal 500 A Square last week. Need to sell a few rifles now to make some room and sell some rifles I don’t use as much as they should be. I do appreciate it though :)

Curious on the use of a lathe to turn down the brass. I have a CH form/trim die. I cut the 338 Lapua (or 416 Rigby) brass down to approximate final length with a small conduit cutter (guess a lathe would work) and then run them through the die and file trim, and then after running them through the regular sizing die, I use a regular case trimmer. Then only issue I have encountered is getting the really sharp shoulder. Of course, fire forming takes care of that. For powder I use Accurate 1630.

Still have not received it?
