Hi guys just a question ?
When i zero my rifle in my home town and i go hunt in a different province, my point of in pack always changes , thats why i always zero my gun where ever iam before i start hunting!

But what do u do with a double barrel ? Wil there be a point of inpact shift? I wil probably zero it or it wil be regulated at 50 m , but because of its velocity and short distance, wil there be a point of impact shift from my home town to where ever i might be hunting
Thx, i dont hope its a silly question

There is no point of impact with a double rifle, it is a two barrel group that will be closer together the better the regulation. If you use the iron sights your group ‘centre’ will be dependent upon how those sights were originally set up. If after many rounds on the range you arrive at the conclusion that the iron sights are off you can fit a red dot, and now you can change the point of aim easily.

Wil that 2 barrel group not change due to density altitude or atmospheric pressure from lets say hunting in pongola and the hunting in the Namibie? I know all my other calibers from my 223 to my 338 zero wil be different in these two places

At the distance you use iron sights, ie 40-50m there will be no visible poi change. When fitted with a scope and checking zero out to 100-200m you could find a change in poi as with any other rifle. Regulation of the barrels, in other words, the ability to print within an inch of each other is a function of internal ballistics, and is not affected by altitude, or other climatic factors.

Andre, I think you are missing the whole point of a double rifle if you pardon the pun. This is not about tack driving, it is about getting in close, really close. That is of course relative depending upon what you are after, but as close as you can.

I know want to use it to walk and stalk like with my Bow and get between 25 -50 metres

And then 10 yards closer! ;-)

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
