.375 H&H Ammo Prices?

I’m sure this is not just with .375 H&H, but $7/round seems like a lot more than it was a few years ago.

What’s your favorite place to get ammo?

I always check ammoseek as a baseline too. It’s a good resource and a lot of smaller shops are represented on it. I always call the shop if I haven’t heard of them before.

$7 a round is extremely steep..

I hand load... and havent had to buy 375 ammo in a few years.. but the last time I bought it (maybe 4 or 5 years ago), I paid about $80 a box for barnes vor-tx 300 gr.. its currently $97 a box at the 3 places I just checked.. so, an increase.. about 20%... but nowhere near $7 per round..

I'd call @Mark Biggerstaff at @R&M FIREARMS .. or @RAVEN ROCKS PRECISION .. Both take extremely good care of AH members.. top notch customer service.. and good people in general..

Thats a smoking deal on Barnes Vor-tx.. If youre looking for an excellent all around cartridge that covers both PG and DG wonderfully.. its going to be hard to beat that deal.. (FWIW my hand loads intentionally replicate Barnes Vor-tx factory ballistics.. same brass, same projectile, traveling at the same FPS, etc.. I get exceptional terminal performance and exceptional accuracy out of my Win 70 with that bullet traveling at that speed)...

Certain loads might be that price because they haven't been manufactured in some time but there's plenty of .375 H&H out there for sub $100/bx right now

That’s a steal for $7 an ammo. We in India pay $12 for the basic federal ammo and too we have to beg at the gun store.

Price seems more dependent on brand than anything else. Less than 6 months ago I swiped up some PPU 300 grain for $40 a box. Remington and Federal seemed to go for somewhere around $65, depending on bullet. Barnes and Swift were well over $80, sometimes over $100.

I can remember a few years ago when the lighter 230 grain .375 ammo used for Bear, Moose and other heavy game went for less than some premium 300 Win ammo.

I've never tried them, but Graf's has DoubleTap 270g solid copper for $79.99/box. If you buy 3 or more, $75.99/box. They also have 250g available in the same flavor.
And as a side note, the same is available in 9.3x62 250g for $68.99/box.

I'm curious if anyone has tried this ammo. I handload exclusively, but always reassuring to have factory options
