Here is a very clean/immaculate, street legal, Michigan titled LandCruiser. It’s gas, not diesel with aftermarket bumpers, top rack, winch. Comparing this to new UTVs it’s a steal at $25k

Listed locally to me on Facebook marketplace. This is not my vehicle. But I would be willing to look at it for someone. Or help where I can.

This likely has the F2 six cylinder in-line. Some were built with a 4 cylinder engine. My have a 4 speed or (hopefully) a 5 speed transmission. I notice that it is Left Hand Drive... possibly a Canadian import. That's a decent price if the truck is clean.

Engine looks like an I-4.

Ever find out what engine it has?

If it was a four door it wouldn’t be the price of a side by side UTV

The guys number is 248-315-1938
It also wouldn't be importable either, as it would have to be a 2008. You can get a crew cab FJ-79 in 2033, but it will be a 2008. In the states anyway.

One of the guys I work with bough a new 2023 Toyota FJ79 on Diplomatic plates for $28,000 in Belgium from the US Defense/State Department distributor. He says it's awesome. His contract ends in a couple of years and he will have to sell it to someone who has SOFA status here in Germany.

I have been turning over every stone to find a Land Rover 110 or 130 that is 25 years old and in decent shape to import next year, but they are either $60,000 or complete turds.

Ridiculous we can’t just buy a new Land Cruiser diesel truck. $ 51,000 for a brand new one 4 door version if I were in Namibia. If we could have them here, I would buy one right now.
Instead we have to buy sub par crap that are designed to last maybe 8 years if you baby it. Got a tacoma 2021 and it’s the worse riding truck ever. Definitely not built like the vehicles available elsewhere in other countries.

I don't know that a Tacoma is any better or worse than a Hilux. I have heard that they are better my entire life. They are slightly different, and Hilux can be had with a diesel. I don't honestly believe that a Tacoma is worse or better. The newest Hilux have a ton of plastic on them too, at least the ones they are selling here in Germany. Hilux is also smaller slightly.

Tundra sucks and Sequoia sucks. I had a 2017, it was ok. Lots of plastic.

I have had a 2016 Sienna and currently have a 2020 Sienna today, tons of plastic, both suck. The 2016 was a better vehicle.

My 2020 Subaru Outback also has a ton of worthless plastic. Great vehicle though, wish they made a one ton F350 Crew Cab model. Really tough.

Toyota globally has become a company for the city folk. I don't know that I'd rate anything they currently make. The FJ looks cool, but the new ones have a ton of plastic on them as well.

I am probably going to buy a 2500 Ram Worktruck or a F250 in whatever the base model is called when I get home next year. Drive the Subaru to work everyday and get a bumper stickers for Trump and US Navy and Weatherby and Gunwerks. Of course Rockslide! Maybe even a not-a-lesbian bumpersticker. Or maybe one that says Lesbians for Trump!

There were no

There was not a four door until after 2007 in the 79.

The Brazillians made a 45 or 50 model crew cab. They are epically rare in North America, Icon has imported a few. They got like $200,000-350,000 for them.

Think it was 2013 when Toyota started building d/c cruisers.....before that they were SA or oz conversions..can tell by the rear door bottom shut line..they different

FJ's are cool.

We destroyed a bunch of of them in Afghanistan, and in New Mexico in the military.
@Muskox
That's sacralige mate.
Even tho I don't like Toyotas they were the last of the good ones especially with the 1HZ turbo diesel. Even the petrol models had a bullet proof motor.

I think the 4Runner is still built in Japan. I’d avoid any Toyota made in the USA or south of the border. Tacoma is built in Mexico. Hard pass on that.

My 2001 F350 Crewcab has 270,000 miles and the 7.3L turbodiesel engine. I bought it in 2008 with 65,000 miles on it to tow my Airstream and my Parker CC fishing boat. I sold the Airstream and my boat is for sale... but I cannot give up the truck.

Driving dusty roads at full speed and bad convoy discipline will do it every time. We had a 5 car pile up of FJ's in a dust storm. The lead guy slammed on his breaks to avoid something and everyone else hit him.

I have the same truck, mine is a standard which seems rare by all the comments I get from Ford guys.
My daily is a 1997 80 series 40th I bought new.
Keeping both even with my wife's weekly eye roll.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
