1988 Land Cruiser

I don't know that a Tacoma is any better or worse than a Hilux. I have heard that they are better my entire life. They are slightly different, and Hilux can be had with a diesel. I don't honestly believe that a Tacoma is worse or better. The newest Hilux have a ton of plastic on them too, at least the ones they are selling here in Germany. Hilux is also smaller slightly.

Tundra sucks and Sequoia sucks. I had a 2017, it was ok. Lots of plastic.

I have had a 2016 Sienna and currently have a 2020 Sienna today, tons of plastic, both suck. The 2016 was a better vehicle.

My 2020 Subaru Outback also has a ton of worthless plastic. Great vehicle though, wish they made a one ton F350 Crew Cab model. Really tough.

Toyota globally has become a company for the city folk. I don't know that I'd rate anything they currently make. The FJ looks cool, but the new ones have a ton of plastic on them as well.

I am probably going to buy a 2500 Ram Worktruck or a F250 in whatever the base model is called when I get home next year. Drive the Subaru to work everyday and get a bumper stickers for Trump and US Navy and Weatherby and Gunwerks. Of course Rockslide! Maybe even a not-a-lesbian bumpersticker. Or maybe one that says Lesbians for Trump!
Buy a Ford, not a Dodge. None are great but Dodge is the worst in my experience. We’ve got five trucks and we are down to only one Dodge for a reason. We use them hard. If we are not off-road, we are towing trailers.

I got a quote for a new 2025 XLT F350 Lariat gasser for $73,000 today.

Uh.... NO!

If pulling/off road the Ford is better. However, if normal street duty, I've been impressed with a couple of friends new 1500s. That dual turbo 6 cylinder is impressive..I'm still to cheap to buy one...

Find a good used one a few years old with the 6.7l diesel. 30-50k depending on trim and miles. You shouldn’t be disappointed. The fords have soft rear springs and they ride great so put airbags on it if you plan to tow anything over 5k loaded.

I have a 2016 Forrester. I purchased it new since someone decided that they didn't net to stop and I took a side impact into the front drive train on our outback. Living in the city, the Forrester is ok. I actually hate that the damn thing with the variable speed transmission and all that plastic. It's a rattle trap to me. I hate rattles. But I dislike car payments more... So I keep driving it...

I just spent two week son a hylux. It really does have a lot of plastic. Most of the PHs I talked to were planning to switch over to the new Isuzu trucks in place of the Toyota. The Isuzu was nice looking and fewer electronics.

I wish I still had my 1974 jeep Cherokee. All manual and nothing to go wrong with it...

I am just replying to this overall thread given it has sort of moved to other hunting vehicles. I just wanted to say on my 2013 Land Rover LR4 which I absolutely love so many of you have kidded me on when will I see an oil leak...well just so I am fully transparent...I had to take her in for an oil leak given she has 127,000 miles on her and had to do the following: Two new Cam covers with gaskets, two new fuel injectors, flush and change power steering and brake fluid, new brake job front and back, oil change with filter...all in $4,800 but she once again drives like a dream and no more leaks...nothing like cruising at 90 MPH on the highway...feels like 50, lol!!! Just wanted to keep myself honest with everyone who told me this would happen...would not sell her for the world!!!

Land Rover, the true symbol of wealth and high regard the World over!

You must be wealthy to be able afford the parts and your mechanic and his family will always hold you in the very highest regard;)

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
