That’s great velocity for the 10mm. With the exception of Buffalo Bore, most factory 10s are in the 1050-1100fps range. Not much better than the .40S&W.
Thanks for sharing, you made my mind up for powder choice between AA#9 and Longshot.
What barrel length and firearm was this data from? I have a Springfield Ronin that has some upgrades and hoping for your velocity using the same components. We have an early doe season in September and my goal is to get one with my 10mm.

Actually that’s not true. Maybe back in 1998 it was, …. but welcome to 2025.
MagTech, Sig, and Fiocchi all load 180grn 10mm FMJ “range” ammo to 1250fps, which is hardly watered-down 40-level junk. You can attribute that to the Real 10mm Resurgence that’s been going on since circa 2003.
UW’ 180grn “Range Supply” is a bit hotter at 1270fps. I forgot exactly what S&B’s 180grn range ammo is spec-ed at, but l’m pretty sure it’s hotter than 1100fps.
A newer ammo company, Grizzly Cartridge Co., offers some really spicy 10mm ammo at max velocities, including a 180grn JHP at 1350fps.
Grizzly Cartridge Company was founded in 2003 with an inherent focus on quality and innovation. Each step of the manufacturing process undergoes strict...

To be fair, yes, there’s still .40-level factory “10mm” ammo to be found on store shelves (being “10mm” only on the box label, not in the ballistics). But most 10mm fans these days looking to enjoy shooting full-throttle factory ammo avoid those …. or they reload.
10mm Sig P220 Legion 5" barrel, 180 grain XTP on left, 180 Nosler on right. Shot into 20% Clear Ballistics Gel. Both loaded with 9 grains of Longshot. The XTP averaged 1295.1 FPS for 5 shots. I have not chronographed the Nosler as of yet.

I like the 180 XTPs in 10mm. I use a different load but I have found that to be an easy bullet to get good results from in the 10mm. Here's my hunting load and the cat I took with it.
I have an unfired T rex 577 if anyone is interested in acquiring it . Absolutely spotless, flawless and well kept . It's rare as it gets . Mouth watering ? Let me know if you feel like making an offer .
