Media always has to write the story for the shock effect. Could have been written as a conservation piece but who cares about that.

“Goats are gentle individuals, not trophies," animals rights group PETA wrote on Twitter.

Said no one who has ever been around a goat before. Even a nice goat headbuts to say how happy they are to see you.

Consider the source. CNN media bias rating by All Sides is extreme far left.

Ain’t that the truth. There’s more than one goat I’ve wanted to shoot just because the bastard was mean.

Not really news if they interview PETA and note the antics on social media. Sorry but whatever goes on on social media is not news. Except to these idiots in the media. Wish they had told the true story that Asian sheep and goats were on the brink from the oppressive Soviet era. Now with hunting giving them value they are thriving and hey news flash so is the snow leopard who preys on these mountain ungulates!

This article should make us all realize that intelligence and reason will not stop the snowflakes. There are 5700 remaining Markhor................and the Pakistanis would happily shoot every one of them for meat...........................except for the fact that this fine hunter chose to protect them, by making them worth something! ...BTW.........the Governor's mule deer tag in Utah sold for $190,000 last year........it will be auctioned off this coming week-end for 2019...............it may, again, go for more than a Markhor.......but there is a stipulation that you can only shoot a mean one...............FWB

I ve said it many times before science and conservation mean nothing to the anti hunting public , theirs is based solely on emotion which has no place in global conservation efforts. PERIOD!

jrg...........I have written to the Washington Post three times in the last 12 months regarding fake news stories that they have published. To their credit, they have responded all three times........ I don't think one can believe ANYTHING written in the WP without finding the whole story at another site. They edit out anything that would keep a person from reaching the correct conclusion.....their conclusion. Still, I must give them credit for the reporting you mentioned...........it was basically accurate. It was announced at the Western Outdoor Expo yesterday that the percentage of hunters in the USA dropped to below 5% last year. We will come under increasing media scrutiny now..........and much of the print will be false or misleading............FWB

The lamescream media and politicians--maybe 1% credibility. Read two reports on the same subject and they are diametrically opposed. I doubt any of those people know much what they write. Emotion is the motivating factor.

Sure a weird looking critter! Love how they say that the horns are attractive to "marksmen", not hunters, to try to conjure up the sniper image. At least they did mention that it was all legal.

And don't be surprised if "laser sights" are not targeted soon for legislation because of the idiot that shot up the factory in Ill., Friday with the .40 Smith pistol and laser. Heard mention of laser sights several times on the "news".

I just want friggin sharks with friggin laser beams on their heads.

Just had this story make the rounds around my group on Twitter. Mostly a group of Atlanta Braves fans that aren’t savy as to the ways and benefits of big game hunting. I had to educate some people very quickly...

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
