I’m an Aussie that has hunted water buffalo multiple times and I just love that and the country they inhabit.
I am just at the end of a 10 day stay/help out at Alex’s camp in Central Arnhemland @BIG COUNTRY SAFARIS AUSTRALIA. It’s about as remote as any hunting anywhere.
So many buffalo here it’s eye and mouth watering. We had some great clients here this last week from the USA and Botswana. They were great.
I also spent a few weeks in banteng camp which is coastal, remote and also awesome.
Anyway I’ll try and post some pics which I always seem to have issues on this site….

Awesome Mark - thanks

Some absolute cracker bulls!

Thanks for sharing, definitely a bucket list trip.

Interesting and congratulations.

I’ve never really considered an Australian safari.

How does it compare to Africa in experience and monetarily? Can one bring their own firearms?

You may need to send Alex @BIG COUNTRY SAFARIS AUSTRALIA a message. He’s a sponsor here. He can certainly help with hunt planning including bringing your rifle.

Cheers
Mark.

If you enjoy Africa, you'll love Australia's Northern Territory. It's super remote, true wilderness hunting that's game rich.

You can bring firearms, but there's a bit of paperwork involved. Alex from Big Country would be the man to talk to.

Sounds like 10 days well spent. Nice trophies and a great experience no doubt.

I have always wanted to do this. Thanks for sharing!

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
