Guineafowl and Francolin driven by beaters, or walk-up over well-trained pointers, is the essence of historical bird hunting strategies. Done by smell and sight...no decoys, no blinds. Remember in South Africa, driven bird shooting is all on wild birds!

Many people often ask what happens with all the birds taken on a shoot? Proud to say that NOTHING goes to waste....whatever doesn't go onto the barbecue or into the oven, is shared between staff and the Community that help to conserve these pristine bird hunting areas in South Africa.

yellow and red billed waterfowl
Wild Spurwing and Egyptian Geese. These Geese are omnivorous and are noted as some of the fastest in the world! Being extremely large waterfowl, one would assume that shooting them wouldn't require much skill ....it's not as it would seem.
Shooting wild Spurwing Geese is an experience only South Africa can offer! Being the largest Goose in the world, makes for a thrilling shoot as they decoy over your lay in blinds, to land in the reaped corn fields. Egyptian Geese tend to feed at the same areas and therefore add to your shoot...
Rock Pigeons and Doves are plentiful, but a nightmare to many corn and sunflower farmers in South Africa, devouring tons of crops each season. Not the easiest species to shoot and they leave many shooters with bruised shoulders.
Yellow billed Duck's plumage is perfectly coloured to camouflage themselves in their natural habitat, around ponds and corn fields. White, black, turquoise, brown and yellow.
