According to the above you are spending an addition $2.5k to ship a single buffalo shoulder mount? Prob cost you more to mount and ship in Africa than it would have be local.

Have hunted Polar bear and it's cold! Would take the 375HH will give you a little more reach. You don't need that power for a PB they are thin skinned (not like a buffalo or hippo). Layers are important go with something heavy for the outside. Kuiu is good for mid-layers but not outer.

I have to respectfully disagree with you here. All my trophies have been imported through Toronto and cleared successfully (by professionals not me). IMO not worth the hassle, headache, or more importantly risk of mistake and losing a valued trophy.

That's going to be a very long and heavy crate. You'll save getting it mounted in SA but your shipping + crating costs will probably make it the same or maybe even more.
