did you ever decide on the R8? They are solid, and you do need time to get used to the action and safety. Sauer are another great choice. On a 375 would recommend staying away from anything to "light weighted".
They are all great calibers. Would agree with the above. The 375HH would be the best balance and choice for both of the species you seek. The 470 would put a big dent on either of those but definitely not required.
As always your comfort shooting these calibers and shot placement will matter...

Have hunted mid-asian ibex. It depends on the type of hunt you are looking for. Asia is remote, the mountains are very high, and in my opinion for someone looking for an "adventure". I would rate the hunt for a mid-asian ibex hunt in the stans as difficult but rewarding.
