My mom carries a Walther P380 and my wife carries a sig 365 in 9mm both are great smaller frame semi autos. I'd stay away from snub nose 38 style harder to become proficient, less accurate, fewer shots, etc. Although something to be said about their reliability.

Got back about a month ago from Limpopo and my first trip as well. Already booked my next trip for June 2025 for a kudu, bushbuck, and more. Love that waterbuck!

This is the only reason I would mount a cow buff to sit it next to a bull. If you don't already have a bull I'd just get the cow euro skull and save the taxidermy money to put towards getting a bull.

Yes sir got a nyala last trip. A eland and gemsbok are very high on my list but am thinking I'll save them for a different area like the east cape or somewhere in the Kalahari same with the springbok and hartebeest. The giraffe on the other hand seems like a good fit for the Limpopo.

Yep ran into this month on my first trip. Fortunately only 3 of my bills were the old hundreds and my PH was cool with it in his tip because he comes to the US every winter. For the main hunt only excepted newer bills.

If only for the tiny stuff a 223. seems like a good choice. My PH uses a 308. with a 150gr solid going a bit slower.

Great advice. This happened to me recently on my first trip. Sitting at home looking at photos I thought I had no interest in a waterbuck until I saw them in the flesh. I will definitely stay flexible just want a general idea of what to focus on and ask my PH about.

Really would like a eland just don't know if Limpopo would be a good choice. It would go well with the kudu and bushbuck sense I already have a Nyala. I want a warthog but am treating it more as a incidental than targeted animal for now.

There certainly weren't a ton in the area I hunted and after comparing prices to other provinces they're definitely more expensive in Limpopo. But is the quality of those found in Limpopo above average? If not sounds like gemsbok maybe best saved for another region.
