    Suppressing a .375?

I contacted Southpaw, the response was that with the barrel taper it was not possible to relocate the banded sight back to allow threading. I had previously identified an owner who had done precisely that to the same rifle, the shop he used was no longer in business. I will continue my search.

    Recoil Management

I had a partner who was a poseur, bought an old B&L scope and decided he needed an appropriate rifle to mount the scope on. The rifle was a Ruger #1 in 458WM. Had the shop mount the scope and provided a box of factory ammo, type unknown to me. Went to the range and fired the rifle once, it...

    Suppressing a .375?

I contacted Ruger about replacing my non threaded Alaskan barrel with a threaded barrel, was told will only replace with whatever it was originally equipped with. I don’t want to lose the front banded sight, local gunsmith did not want to touch it, suggested Briley in Houston. Any thoughts?

    Mexico warning and heads- up

Know a boat captain here in Tx spent the month of November running a boat off Mag bay, he and his crew lived on the boat, had anglers driven to Mag bay La Paz then fished for 3-5 days. No issues, ran the boat back to Cabo and flew home. Made no mention of any of the anglers having issues in transit.

A question for lever gun users....

I was spot and stalk hunting Nilgai recently, back in thick thornbrush and Mesquite. Noticed bits of dried mesquite leaves in my barrel when I unloaded the bolt rifle. Have never covered my muzzle except in heavy rain. Assume upon firing the pressure change in the barrel will blow out this type...
