RE: Should I go ahead and hunt extra animals while there?
My brother, wife, two sons (8 & 6) and I took our first trip to SA last July. It was amazing. HUNT THE EXTRA ANIMALS WHILE THERE: costs more to get back and hunt it than to return and hunt it.
While there, we took Sable, Eland, Kudu...
Up for grabs is a fine Browning Citori discontinued model in great shape, minor wear.
12ga, 28”, 3” barrel
Would be a great accompaniment for bird hunting while taking break from big / dangerous / plains game.
Contact me anytime for further details.

Thanks for saying that - I am inclined to agree. Fair for me, fair for purchaser. Maybe I will want all three of these back someday, but in that someone may want them today - that’s good material use!
My favorite queen coming with me to pursue sheep for next few adventures!
AH,
Looking to liquidate my african collection (or at least some of it), as I've taken up sheep hunting. Hence the following (and above referenced) for sale.
Feel free to reach out to me anytime.
Best,

Greetings. Traveling to SA for first safari hunt.
What should I do with my scope on the rifle .416?
Taking both double barrel and .416 but I have detached the scope from .416 as someone told me that it could be damaged by improper pressure in plane cabin if attached to gun - or something...
It’s funny you said that. I actually hunted deer for a day or two last year with my .375 H&H (Remington 700 model), and while it had an extra kick (sure), the massive hole folks claimed would occur wasn’t really that at all. Deer expired a tad quicker, I would say…
Fellow Hunters/Travelers:
I have a 30.06 for sale, by John Rigby, with a Swarovski scope. Asking $14k + shipping for gun; and $16k + shippping for gun and scope. Located in Michigan.
(Paperwork in hand for both items, plus original Rigby folder with factory shot placement paper/target).
Both...
Fellow Hunters/Travelers:
I have a 30.06 for sale, by John Rigby, with a Swarovski scope. Both mint and unused. Acquired the rifle with a view towards plains game hunting in Africa, but fell in love with a .416 in the interim.
Therefore currently a safe queen until deer season comes around...
Peter Chipman is African-American. Ignore the noise from “participants” in this thread. Unless you’re race baiting, then even I as a black man cannot partake in your expedition lol.
But yes, Peter is a brother who has his own outfit. Awesome to see you looking to support our own. Assuming this...
Lol, yes - gathering the humor here: frankly, I’m looking for 416 rigby ($13-16k) and little brother coming with me is looking for Lott, with budget $1500-$2500. Thanks!
Per above, if anyone has a .458 Lott with scope they’re willing to part with, or a .416 Rigby (by Rigby) at a reasonable price point, thanks for letting me know!
Thank you all.
