Cutting Edge and North Fork both produce .423 diameter bullets and are currently in stock in the US.
If your rifle has enough magazine length and throat you may be able to seat bullets to the cannelure that are intended for the .404 Jeffery.
Beautiful rifles you have there!
My brother owned a tree cutting business and was a true believer in Stihl and his advice has proven sound for gas saws. I will be giving a Shindaiwa 27" a run in the future mainly because of local dealer support.
I started using the EGO string trimmer in 2018 and am using the same battery in...
The Stihl 251C with the "easy start" is not heavy duty but allows me to fire up with very little range of motion and strength. On the occasion I pinch the bar on the gas burner the EGO 18" battery will extract it so that I can stay in the air and keep cutting.
The last gallon of chain and...
The serial numbers match on box and scope so yes, a CDS dial can be installed. These do not come with a CDS turret as it must be customized to the specific load requested. Do not confuse CDS with ZL2.
Any time you see the term "FireDot" on a Leupold it has an illuminated reticle which requires...
Standard turret. There is not a coupon in the 2-12x42 box for a free CDS turret as it was missing when I purchased that scope. The 1-6x24 has the CDS coupon in the box.
Made in the Philippines one inch tube. The only issue is a small nick on one of the turret caps and no factory box or paperwork. $450.00 shipped to US address only. DM if interested.
The only rail mount scopes I have any experience with are the antique "prism" style with claw mounts.
I believe a rail system like this is superior to a ring but not very common in the US.
I would say that if you can pick up any SXS muzzleloading shotgun in good condition for $300 you should.
I really enjoyed using my Navy Arms on grouse when I got the chance.
I have an older VihtaVouri and Vectan reloading guide with data for the 6.5x57.
My Norma Vol2 does not list this cartridge. I would think that in the past Norma would have listed this cartridge so if one of you has that data I would appreciate if you would post it. Thanks!
The shotgun is fine for small game such as rabbit and squirrel but if you are seriously considering taking hogs you would be MUCH better served with a muzzleloading rifle. I would have to check the latest regulations but FL is fairly liberal as far as action or ignition type as well as optics.
I have recently acquired a Steyr chambered in 6.5x57. I have a descent supply of factory 154 grain H-Mantel hollow point and 127 grain Cone Point RWS ammunition. Are there any members that have used either of these bullets on game? If so, I would like to hear your thoughts on terminal...
I have a Sig red dot on one of my AR's that I feel the same way about. I bought it because I preferred the a circle and dot reticle and it takes a AAA battery.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised with that GPO 1.5-9.
After the "Bay of Pigs" fiasco Cuba was convinced that the US would invade. The Cuban take is those missiles would deter any future attempts by the US to do so.
That scope has only been to the range a couple of times since so that is not much of a test. I like it enough that I bought a second one for a future project. Let us know your thoughts good or bad after you have a little time with it.
A while back I went to the range and I wanted to get three...
If you were a Leupold fan looking for a straight tube low powered variable suitable for a DG rifle with regular capped turrets, proper reticle, and no "golden bling" the VX-6HD 1-6 Patrol was it.
Swarovski is not the only manufacturer suffering from the affliction this thread is about. I just...
When it comes to violating federal laws concerning controlled substances or immigration CA is more than happy to tell the feds to pound sand. Not so much if some federal agency says it is a violation to remove some brush.
I was Army enlisted but my "Stick Leader" was a USMC 1st LT. He was an impressive leader that took every opportunity educate/train his subordinates.
There are many that complete jump school and go back to what ever unit and that is the end of it. We call them a "Five Jump Chump".
