I may be done with africa, at least for a while

Laing international. Nylstroom taxidermy, recommend zingela shippers, zingela recommended Laing. I simply stuck with the recommendation. Things have not really been that hateful. It’s more sticker shock and aggravation. Seem at every turn some one has their hand hung out for more money...

I may be done with africa, at least for a while

I went with who was recommended by the Taxidermist, Overall I can not say Laing has done bad. The USDA is requiring insp, which in it self is strange since its a finished product. Maybe Laing had controll over that or not I am not sure.

I may be done with africa, at least for a while

I just got my mounts to the states , landed in Atlanta , required to be cleared by taxidermy. So they fly the crate to Baltimore to then be picked up by the taxidermy folks for insp. Make good sense. Fly finished trophies and tanned hides to the states. Only then to fly them all around the...

Thats just it, With the cost of plane tickets, importing trophies and the desire to see some things in North america. Like a elk way back in the rockies, alaska, prong horn antelope. its a list. Hunting here isnt getting any easier either with drawing tags and point creep. I will see africa...

Laing international, really no issues with them so far. It the gvernment BS. Not sure how true it is, but I am hearing all shippments through atlanta require an additional inspection there by the USDA. More delay and cost.

I may be done with africa, at least for a while

yep,, Nothing is cheap any more. I am more aggravated with the hassels right now. I am sure I will eventually go back on a free range hunt or tiger fishing, I just cant bear to not go with my rifles or bring back the horns of a trophy. Its not going to get any cheaper or easier though.

It’s not just the shipping of the trophies. It’s the entire process of getting things straight to go back over. When I look at the cost of flights, firearm paperwork shipping trophies home vs loading stuff up in my truck and driving 3000-5000 miles round trip to an outfitter in the states...

    .375 H&H

I was concerned with the recoil of a 375hh myself. I purchased a pre64 m70. Recoil was pleasantly surprising. Yes you know you shot a big gun. But it’s not painful. I shot a rem700 in 30-06 that hurt a lot worse. The 375 is more of a push than a chop. I compare mine to my savage 220...

Barnes TSX Vs Nosler Partition 308

TTSX has better BC and the plastic tip helps initiate expansion supposedly. The 168 ttsx will open at the slowest speed and has a good BC, according to Barnes the 168TTSX was intended for the 308 win. I have used tsx bullets in 30-06, 223, and 308. I personally have never had a issue with...
