Unfortunately a lot of leopards in RSA are being killed by the ranchers because they are trying to protect their livestock and they have no monetary value for them as hunting is not allowed. I was there close to two months and heard it time and time again everywhere I went.

Yes, but most free range hunts with decent operators are running in the $6K+ range and it's not low cost considering the duration and facilities. You can go to Africa nad hunt plains game for that kind of money. US hunt prices are out of control.
